ExceptionalFire started in Laguna Hills, California in 2014 as a small, family-run shop. We were tired of seeing homeowners stuck with the same cookie-cutter fireplace doors at every big-box store — heavy, generic, and rarely the right fit.
So we built something different. Custom-cut doors, hand-finished mantels, fire-safe screens — made to your exact opening, in your finish, with your style. No templates. No "close enough." Every piece measured twice and built once, by the same craftspeople you'd talk to on the phone.
Twelve years later we ship to all 50 states, work with designers and builders nationwide, and still answer the phone in Laguna Hills. Same family. Same standards. Just a few more fireplaces under our belt.
