GREAT QUALITY! Made with very thick gauge metal and the quality of the paint finish and welds are outstanding. This mantel was easy to install, and saved my TV. Now my outdoor fireplace deflects the heat towards me instead of frying my TV. Lastly, and don't underestimate this, the packaging was mint and meticulous. Double boxed with a soft cloth.

We love our mantel! The wood screws they sent did not seem like enough to secure it to our fireplace so we used some lag bolts instead but the mantel itself looks great (personal opinion). It did arrive damaged but it was replaced, the customer service was fantastic. I recommend Exceptional Fire, the mantel is awesome and they were great to deal with.

Really like the mantle! It is very solid and was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. The finish is excellent.
Mine is 55" and heavy. When you order a metal mantle be ready for the weight. Mine is probably 50 lbs. Not sure the screws they sent with it will work. I plan on getting some small lag bolts.
Also - the tracking info I received from Exceptional Fire lagged the actual deliver by a couple days. Not sure they are coordinated with the actual mantle manufacturer well enough.
In any case - I have no problem recommending getting a mantle from Exceptional Fire.

UNBELIEVABLE! After searching unsuccessfully for a 94” wide non-combustible fireplace mantel for 3 years, I couldn’t believe my luck when I came across Exceptional Fireplace. They offered the exact mantel I was looking for, and it is even more perfect than I imagined.
Placing the order could not have been easier. I chose the color from 3 samples put next to the tile surround, the height (3”), depth (6”), and length (94”), and placed the order. It was shipped within 3 weeks, with a little confusion that was sorted out, My son in law installed it in 30 minutes and I almost cried when it was finished.
The finish is smooth, no sharp edges, the material is solid and heavy, and the install is clever and simple.
My whole family thought I was nuts to hold out so long to find a mantel that no company was making. But I knew what I wanted and could not be more pleased.
I have a feeling there will soon be a lot of companies selling these kinds of mantels as so many people hang their tvs above a fireplace. I wouldn’t trust any company but Exceptional Fireplace, however, because I have seen the quality of their product and the cost seriously cannot be matched.
Thank you Exceptional Fireplace. My fireplace is now focal point of the main floor.

Quality is impeccable and very top notch! Installation is Very Simple and yet it’s not explained or shown well on the website. If customers knew that after the installation of the support bracket > you simply pair the bracket to the front cover (without the need for fasteners) it would all be understood and sales would increase!

Easy for a DIY installation. The hardware is included, so just fasten the back plate to a stud and slide the mantel shelf onto the back plate. Easy-squeezie. The shelf itself is very elegant. The hardware includes a drill-bit for drilling holes through the metal back-plate. Forget it and get your own 3/16th metal drill bit. The included one would not drill through the metal!

Looks great, was easy to install. Packaging was difficult to open. The only area open was wrapped in heavy plastic wrap. Guess how you open that? With a sharp blade, upon what you will find out the front of the he mantle is under it, so big scratch all the way down the front, would suggest better packing.
