How is ceramic glass different from tempered glass?

Glass-ceramic is designed for high-temperature fireplace applications and expands very little when heated. The correct glass type still depends on the complete fireplace and door design.

Can I burn with ceramic-glass doors closed?

Only when the instructions for both your fireplace and door allow it. A ceramic-glass upgrade alone does not make every fireplace suitable for closed-door burning.

Can I replace tempered glass with ceramic glass?

Have the door manufacturer confirm the replacement first. Panel size, thickness, mounting and the fireplace’s operating requirements all need to be compatible.

How do I clean ceramic glass?

Wait until the fireplace and glass are completely cool. Follow the glass manufacturer’s instructions, including any guidance for coated surfaces.
