A Curated Build · 8 decisions

Eight decisions.One perfect door.

A masonry door is built for you, not pulled off a shelf. Walk through the seven choices that shape every order — pick visually, watch your spec build live, end with your match.

Begin
01
— Decision One

How does it fit?

First — is your opening rectangular or arched? Then pick how the door sits. Overlap mounts to the face of the masonry and covers the opening edges — the standard. Inside sits flush within the firebox — only when the opening is square & clean.

02
— Decision Two

Hearth position?

Where does the firebox sit? Flush hearth means the floor of the firebox is at floor level (or sits on a stone slab) — the most common layout. Hole in the Wall is when the opening is raised into the wall with no hearth slab in front — common in modern builds.

03
— Decision Three

Made of what?

7-gauge steel is the masonry baseline — heavy, rigid, 5-year warranted. Wrought iron is forged with hammered character. Aluminum is lighter (rare for masonry). Stainless is for coastal or outdoor.

04
— Decision Four

Door type?

Bi-Fold doors split into twin panels that fold open to each side — the modern, minimalist look. Cabinet doors swing on hinges like classic cabinet doors — traditional and timeless.

05
— Decision Five

Pick your finish.

The full Carolina palette — from baseline powder-coat to handcrafted artisan and boutique tones. Powder Coat is the indoor workhorse (no upcharge). Premium and Handcrafted add depth and texture. Boutique Oil-Rubbed Bronze is the top tier.

06
— Decision Six

Pick your glass.

Clear is the standard — full visibility of the fire. Tempered handles high heat and shatters safely. Tinted Grey dims the firebox interior when doors are closed for a moodier look.

07
— Decision Seven

Add a mesh curtain?

Mesh Curtain rolls behind the doors and slides shut on its own track — spark-safe when doors are open. Twin Gate uses double-opening mesh panels for a clean, symmetric look. Single Panel is one solid hinged panel.
