Why non-combustible instead of real wood?
Building codes require clearance between combustible mantels and your firebox. Burncrete™ is rated non-combustible, so it can sit closer to the heat and safely carry a TV or decor above — with the exact look of weathered timber.
How do I measure for the right width?
Measure the full width you want the mantel to span. Standard sizes are listed per style; anything in between is a ½″ custom cut (+$300). Wider than the largest standard size ships as seamlessly joined sections with decorative brackets. Not sure? Every order includes a free Expert Fit Review.
Is installation difficult?
No. The hollow-core casting mounts to a standard framed wall using the included steel bracket and fasteners — most installs take under an hour with basic tools.
