Dana Rectangle Stainless Steel Fire Pit Table | The Outdoor Plus
Overview
The Outdoor Plus Dana is the colorist's fire table — powder-coated steel in seven finishes from Copper Vein to Java, with a stainless steel burner at its heart and a base that fully conceals a propane tank. At 60″ × 28″ it fits real patios, not just estates.
Why we carry it: most fire tables come in gray, gray, or gray. The Dana's powder-coat palette lets a designer match hardware, furniture, or trim — and the price point makes it one of the strongest values in the TOP line.

Sizing & Placement
The Dana's 60″ × 28″ footprint at 24″ height suits patios where the oversize tables won't fit — it pairs naturally with a 4–6 chair arrangement. The integrated tank bay means no separate enclosure to plan for if you run propane.
Plan roughly 5–7 feet of open circulation space around the table so seating and walkways stay comfortable, and always confirm clearances to structures and combustibles in the manufacturer's manual and your local code before the gas line is run. If you are working with a contractor, send them the spec table above — it has everything they need.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Natural gas or propane — which should I choose? Natural gas requires a fixed gas line run by a licensed installer, but never runs out mid-evening and costs less to operate. Propane works with a standard tank and needs no trenching — the right call when the table sits away from the house.
- Is the Dana stainless steel or powder-coated? The body is powder-coated steel (that's where the seven color options come from); the burner itself is stainless steel for corrosion resistance where the flame lives.
- What is the difference between match lit and electronic ignition? Match lit is the simple, reliable classic — open the valve and light. Electronic ignition starts the flame at the push of a button and can integrate with home automation; flame sensing adds an automatic safety shutoff if the flame goes out.
- Fire glass or lava rock? Lava rock gives a natural, mineral look and disperses flame softly; fire glass reflects the flame for a brighter, more jewel-like presentation. Both are heat-rated — this is purely an aesthetic choice.

What Our Customers Say
Frequently asked questions
Wood, gas, or propane — which fire pit is right for me?
Wood-burning fire pits give the most authentic crackle and smoke smell — but require seasoned firewood and produce ash. Natural gas fire pits run from a fixed gas line for unlimited burn time, instant on/off, no ash — require a gas plumber for install. Propane (LP) fire pits use a refillable tank, fully portable, also instant on/off — tank lasts roughly 8–14 hours on average use.
Where can I install a fire pit?
Most fire pits are designed for outdoor use only — on a non-combustible surface (stone patio, concrete, gravel, or fire-rated paver). Maintain at least 10 feet of clearance from buildings, fences, overhangs, and combustible vegetation. Check local fire ordinances; some HOAs and municipalities restrict open flame outdoors. Never use indoors — CO and combustion byproducts make this unsafe.
Can I use a fire pit on my wood deck?
Only with a fire-rated heat shield mat underneath and a unit specifically rated for deck use. Many wood-burning pits should not be used on wood decks at all due to ember escape risk. Gas and propane pits with sealed bottoms and proper heat shields are safer for decks — but always check the manufacturer's clearance requirements and your local code.
How long does a propane tank last?
A standard 20 lb propane tank typically powers a fire pit for 8–14 hours at full output, depending on the BTU rating of the burner. At lower flame settings, you can stretch this to 16+ hours. To extend tank life: lower the flame, use a wind guard to reduce gas waste, and turn off when not actively in use.
Free shipping and warranty?
Free freight shipping on all fire pits within the contiguous US. Most fire pits carry a 1–5 year manufacturer warranty (varies by model — full warranty terms on each product page). 30-day return window on unused units. White-glove delivery on heavier models.
