The Empire Boulevard 60" Direct Vent Linear Gas Fireplace is a direct-vent gas fireplace. Sealed behind glass; vents through an exterior wall or the roof with co-axial pipe that takes combustion air from outside.

A built-in gas fireplace is sized by the manufacturer’s framing (rough opening) spec — the exact framing drawing for this model is in the manufacturer’s installation manual — see the Manufacturer Documents tab.
- New installs (direct-vent & vent-free) — confirm your wall or chase has the width, height, and depth the framing spec calls for, and plan the vent route for direct-vent models (through an exterior wall or the roof). Vent-free models need no vent at all.
- Inserts — measure your existing firebox in four places: front width, rear width, height, and depth, plus your chimney height. Compare against the insert’s minimum opening in Specifications.
- See-through & corner models — check the required wall depth between finished faces on both sides.

What do I need to order along with the fireplace?
Two things are required before first fire: a liner (bronze Ridgeback DVP60LPZ or gloss black porcelain DVP60LKR) and crushed glass burner media (up to 7 sq ft). We can bundle both with the fireplace so installation isn't delayed.
Can I mount a TV above the Boulevard 60?
Yes — with Empire's HMGW60 gravity heat transfer kit, a TV or mantel can sit as low as 16" above the opening; the HMFA forced-air system can move heat to another room entirely.
Is the accent lighting included on this model?
Yes — unlike the 48", the Boulevard 60 ships with the halogen accent light assembly factory-installed, adjustable to six levels from the included remote, and it works with the fire on or off.
How does it vent?
Top vent with 5" x 8" coaxial direct vent pipe, terminating horizontally through a wall or vertically through the roof, with up to three 90° elbows allowed.
Does it work during power outages?
Yes — the wall-mounted control interface has battery backup, and the remote can put the fireplace in continuous-pilot (CPI) mode for reliable cold-weather relights.
