The Peterson Real Fyre Rustic Oak Designer Vented Gas Log Set is a hand-painted ceramic vented log set that recreates the look and warmth of a real wood fire. The Rustic Oak Designer set leads with a single, boldly defined front log whose deep-cut bark and exposed heartwood give the whole fire a sculpted, intentional presence. The smaller, hearty logs stacked behind it open up the ember bed, so the flame reads as a genuine wood fire rather than a uniform gas display. What sets it apart is depth of relief: the bark valleys are cut deep enough to catch flame and shadow, giving real dimension on the front log.

How to size & measure your fireplace

Measure four points inside your firebox: front width at the opening, rear width at the back wall, depth front to back, and height to the opening top. Compare all four measurements with the minimum fireplace dimensions for the selected burner and controls. As a vented set, it requires a functioning chimney and operable damper.

FAQ

Vented vs. ventless? This vented set burns with the damper open and a working chimney, giving a tall, full, deeply realistic flame. This vented set requires an open damper and a working chimney. Vent-free systems have different installation requirements.

Natural Gas or Propane? Choose the fuel your home is plumbed for, Natural Gas from a municipal line or Propane from a tank. The burner is configured for the fuel you choose when ordering.

Is this set good for a larger, formal firebox? Yes. With sizes up to 42" and a commanding front log, it fills and anchors wide masonry openings beautifully.

Which ignition should I pick? Match-Light is simplest and lit by hand. A Manual Safety Pilot adds a standing pilot and control knob. The Electronic & Variable-Flame Remote ignites and adjusts flame height from your chair, with a remote included where available.

Real Fyre manufacturer warranty. Indoor refractory logs have lifetime coverage for the original owner; indoor fiber-ceramic blend logs have 5 years. Indoor burners are covered for 10 years, excluding controls.

Vented SPK-26 controls have 3 years and APK-17 controls have 2 years. Other valves, pilots and controls have 1 year, excluding batteries. Outdoor logs have 3 years and outdoor stainless-steel burners have 5 years.
