OverviewProduct details and key features
The River Rectangle brings a long flame opening and a two-piece concrete silhouette to an outdoor seating area. At 70.5 inches wide, it offers a generous table surface while the raised top and sculpted base create a distinctive layered profile.
Choose your two-tone finish
Select the base and top independently from seven American Fyre Designs finishes. The manufacturer photograph shows a Light Basalt base with a Black Lava top; it is a representative view, not a photograph of every finish combination. Handcrafted GFRC can vary slightly in color and texture. Your selected options determine the finish ordered.
Fuel and controls
Manual flame-sensing control with spark ignition operates at the fire table. Select the factory natural-gas or propane configuration for your installation. This model does not store a propane cylinder inside the table; plan a suitable external supply with your installer.
Included and required separately
The selected River fire table includes its factory burner and control system with supplied base media. Decorative fire media is purchased separately. The manufacturer specifies 30 lb of its approved fire glass, or the approved alternative lava-media arrangement in the manual. Optional wind guard, fabric cover, tank housing, propane cylinder and hose are not included. Follow the exact installation instructions for gas connections, media depth, ventilation and clearances.

Frequently Asked
Wood, gas, or propane — which fire pit is right for me?
Wood-burning fire pits give the most authentic crackle and smoke smell — but require seasoned firewood and produce ash. Natural gas fire pits run from a fixed gas line for unlimited burn time, instant on/off, no ash — require a gas plumber for install. Propane (LP) fire pits use a refillable tank, fully portable, also instant on/off — tank lasts roughly 8–14 hours on average use.
Where can I install a fire pit?
Most fire pits are designed for outdoor use only — on a non-combustible surface (stone patio, concrete, gravel, or fire-rated paver). Maintain at least 10 feet of clearance from buildings, fences, overhangs, and combustible vegetation. Check local fire ordinances; some HOAs and municipalities restrict open flame outdoors. Never use indoors — CO and combustion byproducts make this unsafe.
Can I use a fire pit on my wood deck?
Only with a fire-rated heat shield mat underneath and a unit specifically rated for deck use. Many wood-burning pits should not be used on wood decks at all due to ember escape risk. Gas and propane pits with sealed bottoms and proper heat shields are safer for decks — but always check the manufacturer's clearance requirements and your local code.
How long does a propane tank last?
A standard 20 lb propane tank typically powers a fire pit for 8–14 hours at full output, depending on the BTU rating of the burner. At lower flame settings, you can stretch this to 16+ hours. To extend tank life: lower the flame, use a wind guard to reduce gas waste, and turn off when not actively in use.
Free shipping and warranty?
Free freight shipping on all fire pits within the contiguous US. Most fire pits carry a 1–5 year manufacturer warranty (varies by model — full warranty terms on each product page). 30-day return window on unused units. White-glove delivery on heavier models.
