Add the height and width to get the united inches (UI). For example, 30 inches (height) + 20 inches (width) = 50 UI.

How to Install a Floating Shelf

All you need is a drill, tape measure, screwdriver, and a few minutes to install this above your fireplace, in your kitchen, or anywhere else you choose. The non-combustible metal shelves are perfect for a fireplace mantel if you want to hang your TV above your fireplace. The shelf serves as a heat shield to protect your electronics.

STEP 1: MOUNT THE BRACKET

Position the backplate in the desired location against the wall. Drill 1" holes in the studs on your wall using the provided drill bit. Secure the shelf backplate to the wall using the screws provided.

STEP 2: ATTACH THE SHELF

Align the shelf top plate onto the backplate, sliding firmly into place.
