Finish and construction
The shelf uses composite wood veneer construction. This offer includes the Honey Oak finish shown in the primary product photograph. Other finishes are available through the family selector. Gallery illustrations showing other finishes are identified as references.
Included with the mantel
The wood mantel kit includes the shelf, the appropriate mounting bracket, mounting hardware and instructions. The illustrated fireplace and room furnishings are not included. Use the installation guide below to plan the wall support and fixing method.

This wood shelf is combustible. Follow the clearance requirements for your exact fireplace and applicable local installation requirements. How far does a mantel need to be from the firebox?
Use the clearance requirements in both the fireplace installation manual and the mantel installation instructions, together with local code. A non-combustible mantel does not automatically permit zero clearance. Confirm the mantel position, wall construction and fastening method before installation.
What's the difference between combustible and non-combustible mantels?
Wood and wood-composite mantels are combustible. Non-combustible mantels use a material rated for that purpose, but the required separation from heat still depends on the fireplace and mantel instructions.
This Lexington Hearth wood mantel kit is a combustible wood product. Keep the clearance to combustibles required by your fireplace's installation manual.
How do I install a floating mantel?
The kit mounts on the supplied bracket (French cleat or slim-profile, depending on the model). Follow the Lexington Hearth wood mantel mounting instructions for the bracket, fasteners and wall support.
Will the mantel arrive ready to install?
The kit arrives finished with its mounting bracket and the specified screws.
