Overview

The Grand Canyon Tee-Pee Stack is the campfire reimagined for the modern outdoor room. Its pyramid-shaped stainless steel burner pushes flame evenly through vertically stacked logs, recreating the dancing, full-bodied fire of a true wood campfire while delivering the convenience and control of gas. This 48" kit is built for larger round fire pits where a commanding center flame anchors the entire gathering space.

This configuration is equipped with the WBECS Weather Beater Electronic Control System for hands-free electronic ignition. The Weather Beater is engineered to light and stay lit in wind, rain, and harsh conditions, with a hot surface ignitor, flame-sensing technology, waterproof power wiring, and a corrosion-resistant nickel-plated thermocouple. Choose Natural Gas or Liquid Propane to match your fuel supply. Logs are required and sold separately.

Burner & Ignition Guide

The burner and ignition you choose decide how you light the fire, how you control it, and how long it lasts. Here's the plain-English version so you order with confidence.

Ignition — how you light & control it

  • Match Lit — light it with a long match or lighter. No valve, lowest cost. Natural gas only. Best if you want the simplest possible setup.
  • Manual Safety Pilot — a standing pilot with a safety shut-off knob. Turn the fire on/off by hand; the pilot keeps gas from flowing if the flame goes out. Works with propane.
  • On/Off Remote — automatic pilot kit; flip the fire on and off from a handheld remote.
  • Variable / Millivolt Remote — remote on/off plus dial the flame height up and down. The most popular upgrade.
  • Electronic Ignition — battery electronic pilot, no standing pilot burning 24/7, so it saves gas. Includes remote.

Installation & Log Placement

Every log is numbered and placed in a specific position so the flame pattern looks right and burns clean. Follow the placement diagram included with your set.

  1. Confirm your gas type (natural gas or propane) matches your order and your home supply.
  2. Set the burner pan level on the fireplace floor; connect to the gas line per local code.
  3. Lay the grate, then place each log by its number following the placement diagram.
  4. Add the included embers/glowing ember material across the front of the burner.
  5. Test the flame; never block the front burner ports with logs or embers.

Professional installation by a licensed gas technician is required. Improper installation voids the warranty and is unsafe.

Warranty

Lifetime warranty on the ceramic logs against cracking and burnout under normal use. Burners, pans, valves and ignition components carry the manufacturer's component warranty (typically 1–10 years depending on the part).

Warranty requires installation by a licensed professional and use of the correct fuel type. Keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase — we have it on file for you too.

FAQ · What buyers ask

Frequently asked questions

Wood, gas, or propane — which fire pit is right for me?

Wood-burning fire pits give the most authentic crackle and smoke smell — but require seasoned firewood and produce ash. Natural gas fire pits run from a fixed gas line for unlimited burn time, instant on/off, no ash — require a gas plumber for install. Propane (LP) fire pits use a refillable tank, fully portable, also instant on/off — tank lasts roughly 8–14 hours on average use.

Where can I install a fire pit?

Most fire pits are designed for outdoor use only — on a non-combustible surface (stone patio, concrete, gravel, or fire-rated paver). Maintain at least 10 feet of clearance from buildings, fences, overhangs, and combustible vegetation. Check local fire ordinances; some HOAs and municipalities restrict open flame outdoors. Never use indoors — CO and combustion byproducts make this unsafe.

Can I use a fire pit on my wood deck?

Only with a fire-rated heat shield mat underneath and a unit specifically rated for deck use. Many wood-burning pits should not be used on wood decks at all due to ember escape risk. Gas and propane pits with sealed bottoms and proper heat shields are safer for decks — but always check the manufacturer's clearance requirements and your local code.

How long does a propane tank last?

A standard 20 lb propane tank typically powers a fire pit for 8–14 hours at full output, depending on the BTU rating of the burner. At lower flame settings, you can stretch this to 16+ hours. To extend tank life: lower the flame, use a wind guard to reduce gas waste, and turn off when not actively in use.

Free shipping and warranty?

Free freight shipping on all fire pits within the contiguous US. Most fire pits carry a 1–5 year manufacturer warranty (varies by model — full warranty terms on each product page). 30-day return window on unused units. White-glove delivery on heavier models.
